In the comic world, he was known as "Clem." In addition, when working with fellow artist, George Harrison, he signed his illustrations as Clem Harris. Weisbecker worked as a comic artist from 1941 to 1953. Examples of the characters for which he was an part-time illustrator include (but are not limited to): Betty & Veronica of Archie Comics, Captain America of Marvel Comics, and Lance O'Casey of Fawcett Comics. Weisbecker was also a member of the Society of Animal Artists.
