For sale here is a fantastic 18th century patch box. Nice small round form made from papier mache. Unique to have a lift off lid with the mirror inset in the top of the lifts. The underside of the lid has three initials , and there is remains of snuff inside the box. It is quite small, measuring 1 3/4 inches across by 3/4 of an inch tall. It has edge roughness/ loss to both the lid and bottom, and obvious wear to the mirrored glass. Very unique and unusual, a piece out of my late father in laws collection. Dates 1750 - 1780.
