THE COLOR OF PARADISE ON DVD....... When term at his special school ends, blind eight-year-old Mohammad (Mohsen Ramezani) is reluctantly collected by his widowed father Hashem (Hossein Mahjub) - who is ashamed of his sweet-natured son's disability - and taken home to his loving grandmother and two sisters. Worried that Mohammad's presence will hinder his forthcoming marriage to a local girl, Hashem ignores the objections of the family and arranges to have him apprenticed to a blind carpenter some miles away, further hindering any chance of his son forming a natural bond with him.
