Vintage St. Francis Glass Statue, circa 1957, by Fostoria. This beautiful antique piece is made of clear stained and frosted "silver mist" glass, depicting Saint Francis of Assisi, the Italian Catholic friar and preacher, holding a dove in his left hand. Crafted by the Fostoria Glass Company around 1957, it is in overall good condition with no chips but with a few scratches. It would make a stunning addition to a lighted display cabinet and stands at 13.5 inches tall. Additionally, its worth noting that on March 13, 2013, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio from Argentina chose the name Francis as his papal name in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, becoming Pope Francis.
