They can't clone for different protocols. SATA hard drive can only work with SATA protocol hard drive. (M.2) SATA/mSATA/SATA are all for SATA protocols, they can be used together. Compatible with M.2 sizes 2230, 2240, 2260, 2280, 22110, MSATA, 2.5" HDD/SSD, and 3.5" HDD.
