Bowie's sixth studio album, Aladdin Sane, showed a huge musical progression from its predecessor. Thrilling singles 'The Jean Genie' and 'Drive-In Saturday' took the UK singles chart by storm, peaking at numbers 2 and 3. It was Bowie's first time topping the UK album chart,as well as, making his debut in the U.S. charts, making the top 20 album chart. The iconic cover artwork featured Bowie with the red and blue lightning bolt make-up, an image that has become a part of pop culture. This re-pressing of Aladdin Sane was cut from 192kHz restored masters, by John Webber at AIR Studios, with no additional processing. Bowie described the album as ‘Ziggy Goes To Washington.' Ziggy Stardust's last stand was in July 1973 at the infamous London's Hammersmith Odeon.
