1788 Mexico 1/2 real, Mexico City mint, mint master F.M. The obverse shows a bust of Charles III. The legend around the border shows "CAROLUS. III, DEI. GRATIA". The reverse shows a crowned shield, with shield divided into four parts, with an oval in the center. On each side is a column with a banner around part of it. Around the border is " HISPANA . ET. IND. R. (Mexico City mint mark) M. F.M. " The piece is a bit more brighter silver color than shows in the pictures.
