The show had its debut on June 7, 1980 and was hosted by legendary dj Murray The K Kaufman for its first 8 months. Then on February 14, 1981, for unclear reasons, Gary Owens took over the show and hosted it from then on, almost until the last show aired on June 30, 1984.
