This uncirculated 2,000 Spanish peseta note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Spain. It is a red, yellow, green, and blue note that is dated 24 April 1992, bear the signatures of Mariano Rubio Jimenez, Esteban Rospide Echeto, and Jesus Urdiola Salvador, and measures 138 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side features Jose Celestino Mutis. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and shows the national coat of arms, a fleur-de-lis, the neoclassical gate of the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Mutisia Clematis plate. Security features include a rosette registration device, a solid green security thread, and a watermark of Fray Bartolome de Las Casas with an electrotype 500.
