The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger (Shrike) was a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s. The Fw 190 A-8 was a major production variant. Entering service in early 1944, it was the most-produced version of the Fw 190, with 6,597 units built.
