Leather strap. Squeaky/feels like rubbing a bit when adjusting crown but it works just fine. Stainless Steel back. It shows signs of wear and tear such as marks, scrapes, scratches, dings, scuffs etc but is still very usable and wearable with plenty of life left in it still.
