This is a relatively lightweight guitar. The grain appears to be ash, but the color of the neck joint suggests it is alder (the catalog specifications for both the 57ST and 62ST are alder). There is almost no V-shape when you hold it, and it has a gently rounded grip.This guitar has the pleasant attack and brightness you expect from a maple fretboard, and an appealing clean tone with a crisp feel.
