Imperial Credits were utilized as a galactic trading currency throughout The Galactic Empire. In an attempt to unite a galaxy previously divided by war, an aligned currency was a necessity. From one side of the galaxy to another a single currency could be instated to help previously impoverished worlds that were looking to stay out of the Clone Wars' destructive path.
