For sale is my capsule taken from my working U87i (1976) it sounds audibly fine to me. I sent it to off to Neumann to be repaired and they came back saying: - The membrane of the capsule is wrinkled. (Invisible to the naked eye) - The capsule mounting assembly has been modified by third parties. - The capsule mounting assembly needs to be renewed. - The wire mesh cage is deformed and mechan. damaged.
