Signed original oil on masonite painting by Roy Gjertson, 1964. This is his interpretation of Matisse’s famous travel poster: “Nice, Travail et Joie” which promoted tourism to Nice, France. In original period-appropriate frame. Gjertson was a successful illustrator, World War II veteran, and a gifted artist. He passed away in 2018.
