This is a wonderful Peruvian Retablo. It is handmade in traditional style. Painted wood and small figurines made of potato masa and plaster. All handpainted and arranged skillfully to tell a story of religion and Peruvian life. It measures approximately 16 inches tall (12 inch box 16 top top of point), x 8 inches wide (16 inches wide with both doors open), x 3¾ inch. There is a lot going on inside. The condition is near excellent, there is some dust and I have glued in one loose "boy" and replaced a missing flower with a button but besides that it's all original and in great shape.
