The Virgin of the Innocents, Martyrs and Forsaken or Virgin of the Forsaken (Mare de Déu dels Desamparats, in Valencian or popularly Geperudeta) is an invocation of the Virgin Mary. She is the patron saint of the city of Valencia, Gandia, Adzaneta de Albaida, Campello, Ibi, Els Ibarsos and the Valencian Community, and therefore one of the patron saints of the autonomous communities of Spain.
