Wonderful large asparagus servers made by French silversmith Jovax. Dating to the mid 1800s. Jovax operated in Paris crafted bespoke pieces for nobility. Measures 9.5 inches x 2 inches at the widest point. Weight is shown in photos at 4.54 Troy ounces. There is a coat of arms on the back of the spoon. It reads ‘Sapienter et Audacter’ which translates as Wisely and Boldly’ and is the motto of the Koch de Gooreynd family.
