According to all sources, unmarked jewelry was typically personal which was pawned. In essence, this was David Clark's personal ring. I measured 18mm which gives a size 8. Fits perfectly on my pinky finger. Typically the timeframe would be pre 1930 or thereabouts to 1900. This information was consistent through all reference I found on the subject. With much diligence I've found what I consider a match on the needle etch signature. Please keep in mind, chances are most natives did not read or write English. This may be just his mark. Ive provided a picture of the known mark.
