A very rare lobed twin handled tureen from Theo Haviland of Limoges, France, c.1893+. I can find many tureens by this famed company but not one in this lobed form. Printed marks to the base and underside of the cover. Approximately 17cm wide by 15cm high. Mint condition with minor rubbing to the gilding. A pleasing form and a rare object from one of the best porcelain manufacturers in the world.

The ornate scrolling floral motifs and heavy gold rim give these plates a classic French formal dining look. The Pompadour Green pattern was produced mid-to-late 20th century and is now discontinued, making these increasingly collectible.
