Bought in 2022 to store photos, which I upload from my phone around 6 times a year. Has remained in a box the rest of the time. From a smoke and pet free, clean house. Formatted. Working perfectly. I replace my hard-drives every three years to reduce the chance of losing photos. There is nothing wrong with this HD, it was just time to swap.
