El TNY268PN es un conmutador fuera de línea TinySwitch-II, EcoSmart, de bajo consumo y eficiencia energética mejorado en encapsulado DIP de 8 pines. Este dispositivo integra MOSFET de potencia de 700 V, oscilador, fuente de corriente conmutada de alto voltaje, límite de corriente y circuito de apagado térmico en un dispositivo monolítico. La potencia de arranque y operación se derivan directamente del voltaje en el pin DRENAJE eliminando la necesidad de un devanado polarizado y circuitos asociados. Además, el dispositivo TinySwitch-II incorpora reinicio automático, detección de subtensión de línea y fluctuación de frecuencia. Un diseño innovador minimiza los componentes de frecuencia de audio en un esquema de control de encendido/apagado simple para eliminar prácticamente el ruido audible.
