This model is a reissue of the 1967 mahogany Flying V. A 2004 Gibson Flying V '67 Reissue has just arrived. The original Flying V debuted in 1958 but was produced in very limited numbers. The Flying V's design, with its scooped-out area beneath the bridge, results in tighter low end and more pronounced mids and highs.

The hard case is also decorated with decorations derived from "Arthur's Music", showing the depth of the artist's respect for the piece. This is a book that I can't stop being interested in. The black 4Ply pickguard was said to have been installed on only 10 of the small number produced in 1958, and I feel that it has a very nice design as a small but signature model.
